We walk in through your door

Permanently on our behinds
Appearing to forever dine
Guzzling up all your wine
You’d rather invite a wild boar

You overlook the extra chores
Excuse the thunderous snores
Create savory hors d'oeuvres
Doubting that this could be much more

Soon the ache for passive pleasures
Urges you onto desperate measures
You concede to us your little treasures
And hint on plans to move offshore

Nevertheless, days turn to night
And we develop into a perpetual sight
You take heart, but we don’t take flight
We are the guests that never go!
